                                                                     Ready, Set, Run!




This National Alliance for Youth Sports program is a character-building running program that trains kids ages 8-13 to participate in a 5K run.
 Running is a healthy exercise alternative for children that are apprehensive about traditional team sports. In addition to running, the program places an emphasis on life skill development and offers participants an opportunity to learn about and take part in things such as healthy eating habits, positive goal setting, giving back to the community and more! This curriculum-based program equips kids with the physical training and goal-setting mentality needed to accomplish their running goals. Issues like enhancing confidence and self-esteem, respecting authority, dealing with peer pressure and fueling their bodies through proper nutrition are covered during the 12-week program.
